The Stakeholder Forum (SF) consisted of the Implementation Networks (IN) coordinators (one per IN) and was the representative body of the INs. The SF proposed the members of the Executive Board as the IN community representatives. The composition of the Executive Board needed to be approved by the Steering Committee.
The SF proposed practical work programmes, detected ‘white spots’ (gaps to be filled), enabled cross-IN coordination and exchange of views, practices, technologies, standards etc.
Initially, as long as a relatively small number of INs existed, the SF was actually ‘identical’ to the Executive Board. As the number of active INs had continued to grow, the size of the SF had become beyond practical to coordinate. The SF members had therefore been asked to nominate (and select) IN representatives to the Executive Board.
