After the FAIR Data Stewardship Course earlier this year, Hogeschool Leiden and the GO FAIR Foundation are setting up the next iteration of this “Introduction to FAIR Data Stewardship” course for October – November 2020. The course will be offered at the Hogeschool Leiden (in Dutch), as well as online (in English), and is aiming at people who would like to work as a data steward in a research environment or people who are otherwise involved in data stewardship.
Course description
Research projects create a lot of data. Although these data should remain available, in practice data often get lost. To address this problem the GO-FAIR Foundation advocates the FAIR principles. Research data should be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable in an automated way. FAIR Data Stewards work with researchers to help them make their research data FAIR. In this course you will get an introduction to the knowledge and skills required to work as a data steward. This course is a pilot, and is co-developed as part of a partnership between the Hogeschool Leiden and the GO-FAIR Foundation.

In this course you will learn:
