The Executive Board is a representative body for the implementation community and is proposed/elected by the coordinators of the Implementation Networks. It could be entirely composed of people active in Implementation Networks, but other members could also be proposed. At an early stage, the Stakeholder Forum might suffice as a representative body for the implementation community. However, with a growing number of Implementation Networks, the Stakeholder Forum could soon become unpractically large to meet frequently (at least face-to-face). That’s when the Executive Board will be constituted.
The role of the Executive Board is to ensure that GO FAIR achieves its long-term goals (as defined by the Steering Committee). It ensures that Implementation Networks are well-represented and communicates structurally with GO FAIR’s International Support and Coordination Office. Initially, it is proposed that Professor Klaus Tochtermann (DE) serves as the Chairman of the Executive Board.
