GO BUILD Workshop

  • 11 November 2019
  • Location: Hamburg, Germany

The GO FAIR International Support and Coordination Office organizes a GO FAIR workshop on “Semantic Interoperability of Metadata for Cross-Domain Research of the Future” at the ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics in Hamburg.

The workshop targets primarily members of the GO FAIR implementation networks, but non-members interested in the GO FAIR initiative or the workshop topic are also very welcome.

The idea of the one-day workshop is to bring together people with an interest in semantic aspects of interoperability of metadata who are looking for an opportunity to exchange with like-minded colleagues. It is supposed to offer room for networking and deliberations on concrete possibilities for future collaboration. The goal is to establish working groups who will be working in the context of the GO FAIR initiative on guidelines and best practices or concrete implementations.

The workshop discussions will revolve around questions such as:

  • Which steps are essential to guarantee the semantic interoperability of metadata in a single domain?
  • What is a FAIR metadata standard?
  • How do we ensure the semantic interoperability for the cross-domain research of the future?

Please note that the registration is closed.

Travel and accommodation costs can be reimbursed according to the German Federal Travel Expenses Act (BRKG – Bundesreisekostengesetz). Please find here some information on directions to the ZBW and accommodation near the ZBW.
