Starting Tuesday February 18, 2020, the Hogeschool Leiden will run the elective course ‘Introduction to FAIR Data Stewardship’. The course has been developed in close collaboration with Erik Schultes (GO FAIR) under the GO TRAIN pillar.
This Dutch course will be given weekly on Tuesdays from 13:00 to 15:30 with the exception of the Spring holiday (Feb 25) and runs till March 31st. Guest lectures are provided by Barend Mons (GO FAIR), Kristina Hettne (Leiden University Library), Rajaram Kaliyaperumal (Leiden University Medical Center), Erik Schultes (GO FAIR), and others.
During the course, students will learn about the FAIR Principles, semantic modeling and FAIR Data Stewardship. They are guided in the process of making research data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reuseable by following a real life example with Leiden Book Seller historical data. Students will also learn how to compose a professional FAIR data stewardship plan.
